In January, Design & Production enlisted Sho-Link and Wolfe Electric to provide installation and electrical services for the Freedom Museum at the Tribune Towers in Chicago, IL. With Bill Wirpel (Design & Production) leading the labor and Jeff Novotney (Wolfe Electric) leading the electricians, it took over 1,600 man hours and over 800 electrician hours to install this magnificent display.

     The theory behind this museum is to make everyone who visits really think about the freedoms that we as Americans are given on a daily basis per the First Amendment. It focuses on the five basic freedoms – those of Speech, of Religion, of Press, of Assembly and for redress of grievances. This was a two-story exhibit and approximately 10,000 square feet.

     Sho-Link is proud to have had the opportunity to be involved with an install of such magnitude and we would like to thank the carpenters that showed such dedication to this project; Craig Pulkownik, Chris Leiser, David O’Keefe, Joe Kiaulakis, Troy Tracy, Tony Boerma and supervisor Jon Floodstrum.

     Sho-Link members met for this year’s Owner’s Meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas on March 4th. Alan Scaccia, President of Sho-Link spoke to the members regarding marketing strategies, Nimlok workshops, corporate updates, quality control and new member search. Larry Ciccotti spoke about the Sho-Link warehousing program.

     A new Board of Directors was elected; Bill Haney (Derse Exhibits), Brian Cree (Southwest Displays & Events), Mick Parrott (ICON Exhibits), Simon Perutz (Nimlok) and Alan Scaccia (Sho-Link). We would like to thank the past and present Board of Directors for their services to Sho-Link.
