Craig Pulkownik Update &
August Cover Story Sho-Link Managers Meeting

The last few months have brought a few new faces to the Sho-Link Corporate Office and we would like to introduce our new staff members to you. Doug Williams started with Sho-Link in April and is our primary Order Processor and Customer Service Representative. Prior to Sho-Link Doug worked as a truck driver for a gravel and cement company. In his spare time he is attending school for Computer Networking, and when he isn’t bogged down with homework, he enjoys camping and spending time with his friends. Toni Barshack started with Sho-Link in July and works primarily in our Chicago office supporting our Chicago City Manager as well as performing customer service and administrative support duties. Toni comes to us from First Bank where she worked for two and a half years as a Customer Service Representative. In her spare time she enjoys participating in outdoor activities as well as sports and is currently planning her wedding which will take place on September 2nd, 2006. Congratulations Toni!
Carrie Fiske returned to Sho-Link once more in April as a Customer Service Representative/Administrative Assistant. For the last year she and her husband have been doing volunteer Missionary work in Ecuador, South America. In her own words, here is her story: “Working as Jehovah’s Witness Missionaries we spent most of our time traveling to different villages teaching the Bible. Because I love working with people and love spicing up things a bit, it was an adventure to remember forever. For example, there are grasshoppers bigger than my head (no joke!), bridges made of bending bamboo without railings over raging rivers, wood stilt houses which are definitely not OSHA approved, holes in the ground for toilets, and food that I would rather not remember. For example, one day we were invited for lunch which was “pig” soup. What that entails is every part of the pig, but the meat. Intestines stuffed with who knows what, the liver, heart and much more. But, the one thing we really learned was how little these people have, but how much happier they really are. We shared homemade cupcakes with some local children, they had never seen or heard of these and were so ecstatic they still talk about them. Another teenager went to the city for the first time and came back so excited because he saw a machine that you put money in and it gives you a piece of gum! (gumball machine). It’s the little things in life. So, we learned a lot about what’s really important, and the fact that here in this country we are very privileged and shouldn’t take that for granted. There are so many things we have here that others don’t even have. So, all I can say is thank you to clean water, heat, electricity, and most of all ---to toilets!”
Over the last year there have been several promotions within the Sho-Link family. Rob West started with Sho-Link in 1995 as a Chicago carpenter. He worked with Jimmy Streicher to open the Orlando Office in 1996 and stayed on to become the Orlando City Manager. After 10 years in Orlando Rob was promoted in April of this year to East Coast Regional Manager working along side Larry Ciccotti. Jeff Brosseau started with Sho-Link 10 years ago and has been in many positions. He was Chicago Assistant City Manager working with Ken Broadbent and Jimmy Streicher. He worked as a Traveling Supervisor out of Atlanta and also took on the role of Las Vegas City Manager for a few years. In May of this year he settled in Orlando and took on the position of Orlando City Manager. Steve Mott joined the Sho-Link team in May of this year. Prior to Sho-Link he worked as a carpenter on the show floor for various general contractors. In July he was promoted to Orlando Assistant City Manager to work along with Jeff Brosseau. Steve brings with him approximately 15 years experience in the Trade Show Industry. Stan Johnson started with Sho-Link in San Diego 4 years ago, working as a top lead man on the show floor. In June of last year he was promoted to San Diego Assistant City Manager to work along side Charlie Barba.
Please join us in thanking all of them for their hard work and
dedication to
Sho-Link
as well as our members and clients and congratulations to all of them
on their promotions. |
