Jeff Brosseau accepts the award for
10 years of service with Sho-Link

The Sho-Link Managers Meeting was held in Chicago, IL. this year. The purpose of this meeting is to gather all Sho-Link City Managers and Assistant City Managers together to discuss the Sho-Link agenda for the upcoming year as well as to promote camaraderie among our team. In this meeting we are able to focus in on policy and procedure and have open discussions on ways to eliminate issues that may occur on the show floor.

Corey Connor, Washington DC City Manager said, “I think that the opportunity to reconnect face-to-face, and compare notes with the corporate staff as well as other Sho-Link City Managers is invaluable in terms of my understanding and appreciation of what my job with Sho-Link entails.”

This years meeting was held in conjunction with the TS2 Show in order to allow some of our owners to attend the Meet-n-Greet Dinner as well as participate in the meeting the following day. All the City Managers were very appreciative of the opportunity to meet some of the owners in a more relaxed atmosphere and were happy to hear how supportive the owners are of the jobs that they do.

Simon Perutz, President of Nimlok Displays and Exhibit Systems, gave a slide show presentation explaining the direction that Nimlok is heading. Then, in tune with the theme of the meeting  “Attitude” Simon stood before all the City Managers and asked for their observations about Nimlok and what could be done to not only better the company but also their partnership with Sho-Link. After a 20 minute Q&A session with the mangers a Task Force was developed to address and find ways to understand the issues raised.

At this years meeting awards were received by the following people: Theresa Peiffer (Sho-Link Corporate), Scott Rudel (Sho-Link Corporate) and Mitch O’Sheal (Charlotte City Manager) for 5 years of Service, Jeff Brosseau (Orlando City Manager) for 10 years of Service and Joe O’Reilly (Atlanta City Manager) received the City of the Year Award for Outstanding Customer Service. Congratulations to all of you.

At this years Manager’s Meeting, Joe O’Reilly, Atlanta City Manager received the City of the Year Award for Outstanding Customer Service.

Joe O'Reilly receives the City of the Year Award

Joe came to Sho-Link in 1994 as a show floor carpenter. After four years with the company, Joe was promoted to City Manager of Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY while still located in Atlanta, GA. Joe says, “I was more or less a traveling lead man.” Obviously proving his worth, he was asked to become the Atlanta City Manager in 2000 and has been doing that ever since. Here is what Joe has to say about his city and his crew:

“The crew in Atlanta appreciates the recognition of being named the city of the year. Dedication, hard work, preparedness, understanding and the utilization of the diverse talent and experience of the crew through the years has lead us to this point. As such, a city’s performance is dependant on the sum of it’s parts, and the crew in Atlanta has grown into the part. Most of the crew have been with me for a number of years now and come from backgrounds that include supervisory roles with other I&D companies, general contractors and exhibit houses as well as associated fields like electrical, audio visual and carpentry. We aspire to continue to maintain and improve our performance in the future so that we may assist our clients to the best of our abilities and make a success of all endeavors that we join in with them. Once again, we thank all that have helped us reach this point.”
