As in any family, the impact of a sudden illness is a difficult situation to deal with. The “Sho-Link Chicago Family” is dealing with such a hardship now. Craig Pulkownik, who has been with Sho-Link for approximately 10 years, recently suffered a stroke. Craig, as many of you know, is a true asset to the Chicago operation; he is well known for his attention to detail in every aspect of the trade show business. He is also a master carpenter who has a complete workshop at his home. Craig has been working on our museum team in conjunction with D & P. The team recently finished the Tribune Freedom Museum and are currently working at the Chicago Historical Museum. He also enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time in the great outdoors. Craig is now in rehab and, according to his brother, is doing better everyday. We all wish Craig a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to work. Those wishing to contact Craig can e-mail him at thogan@sho-link.com.
After last years devastating Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans closed down due to the destruction of the city. All Trade Shows were either cancelled or moved to other cities. Our long time City Manager Bill Redman moved and went to work in our Las Vegas Office. In April this year New Orleans came back with a bang. The first show being the Marriott mSpot show which worked 10 men around the clock for three days. It turned out to be a great start for the city which has been slowly growing and gaining speed as the shows start returning.
John Hryniewich (LJ) came to Sho-Link in April to take over the Installation and Dismantle of the Marriott mSpot Show and has since taken on the position of New Orleans City Manager. LJ comes to Sho-Link with 25 years experience in the Trade Show Industry. He started his career with Sullivan Transfer as a truck driver/rigger where he worked for 8 years before going to United Expo to take on the position of Freight Coordinator. From there he went to Brede where he was the Operations/ Production Manager and traveled with 28 shows each year. He stayed with Brede for 10 years before joining the Sho-Link team. “It’s good to have shows back in New Orleans,” states LJ. “I can get back to what I know and back to work.”
A New Orleans native, LJ is married with four children and enjoys
fishing and golf. |
