NBAA’s 59th annual meeting and convention was held in Orlando, FL on October 17th - 19th. It was the biggest and best in the Association’s history, breaking attendance records and selling out exhibit space earlier than ever before. Attendance increased 14% over last year and broke the record set in Las Vegas in 1998. Sho-Link handled 20 booths at this year’s event coming from 7 Sho-Link members. 16 of the booths were inside the Orange County Convention Center and 2 booths were located outside at the Orlando Executive Airport. The larger exhibits such at Rockwell Collins, which was led by Sho-Link traveling supervisor Wes Weaver, took full advantage of the 6-day move in. The 18 booths that Sho-Link installed inside the OCCC totaled over 45,000 square feet with a labor call of 68 and almost 4,000 labor hours. A special Sho-Link thank to you the support crew consisting of Jim Streicher, Chris Leiser, Mike Glover, Larry Townsend, Dave Walter, Scott Rudel and Rob West who all helped to make this show a complete success.
Don Dubro faced some challenges with the 30 x 30 Shure, Inc. booth at the ASE Show, such as missing parts and broken pieces. However, the Sho-Link crew led by Sean Doane out of Las Vegas, along with Ken Marks, Ted Lopez and Mike Kochera used their quick problem solving skills and met each challenge head on. The exhibit was completed in time for show open and it looked wonderful. Don’s crew in San Francisco also handled the 20 x 20 T.C. Electronics booth and the 20 x 20 Neutrik USA booth, both from Trans Exhibits and both with outstanding end results. |
