The OFC/NFOEC Show, a show geared toward Optical Communications
was held in Anaheim, CA this year on March 27-29th. Attendance reached
13,000 with over 600 companies presenting at the show. Jim Genzano,
Sho-Link
Southern California City Manager, coordinated the installation of the
4 booths that
Sho-Link
was contracted for with great efficiency, while handling other shows
running in his region.
At the OFC / NFOEC Show, Jim faced a few different challenges
with some of the booths. The Fibercore booth sent the
Sho-Link
crew on a hunt for sand bags and wire to support the back wall before
the show opened to ensure the booth was safe. Once the show closed
Sho-Link
again stepped up when the client needed last minute transportation and
storage for their booth. With a crew on their side, eager to help in
any way possible to ensure a successful show, the clients were very
happy with the final outcome. Jim Genzano says of his team, “I was
very impressed with their problem solving skills and ability to truly
pull through in the midst of a stressful situation.”
The Tempo Research booth, a 10x20 booth from Easton Associates,
had some small issues during install, again giving
Sho-Link
the opportunity to provide top notch customer service. With freight
not arriving to the booth until almost an hour later than expected,
the installation was behind schedule before it even started. Once
installation began it became apparent that there were issues with the
graphics. The
Sho-Link
crew member responsible for the set, problem solved quickly and the
graphics were super-glued and velcroed.
The final product was something to be proud of and the client was
very pleased with the booth and the crew that set it. Genzano stated,
“I was happy to work with Darren Easton and I was very pleased with
the final outcome."
Compliments to Sho-Link:
“Everything and everyone was great. Reggie and his partner from
Sho-Link
were great! Only problem we ran into was that we could not locate the
brackets that hold the light panels in the alcove. Luckily Reggie and
his partner rigged a perfect substitute.”

Serono 20x20 Derse SRS |
On April 12-15th, 2007, at the San Diego Convention Center, the
AMCP show kept the
Sho-Link
Southern California team busy on a 5 day installation of 6 booths.
The TAP Pharmaceuticals representatives initially wanted the
20x20 exhibit moved to another location for the show so the
Sho-Link
crew was on call, available and ready to go if the move was approved;
however, it was not allowed. Mark Ochoa was involved in some pre-show
planning on this booth regarding some general details, and in the end
the client was extremely happy with how smooth things went.
The 20x20 Genentech booth and the 20x20 Gilead Science booth both
from Derse PA, raised some challenges for the crew; with the freight
carriers not showing up on time during tear down, it caused the
dismantle of the booths to get a late start, however,
Sho-Link
showed our dedication to our client’s by being on call and available,
and the clients were pleased.
Kudos to the crew working Serono for taking the initiative to
start assembling the frame while waiting for the electricians. |
