Ortho Biotech 50x50 Derse Booth

The 2007 ONS Show took place in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Resort & CC on April 24th-26th, 2007. Sho-Link was contracted for 6 incredible booths and, working with new crew members, the show was a great success.

Sho-Link provided 18 men to handle the booths which came from Sho- Link members Derse and Design & Production, and it took only 4 days to install.

During the move in, Sho-Link team member Jesse Reyna took full advantage of his familiarity of the people and the hall and was able to have some trucks moved up in line in order to get booth properties delivered for installation in a more timely manner. He was also involved in pre-show planning on the Genentech booth with Regional Operations Manager, Larry Ciccotti.

According to Larry Ciccotti, the clients were happy with the efficiency of the set up and commented to him that the crews were flexible in their ability to multi-task between jobs. “We are growing in Vegas, bringing in new workers, and I think things are working out wonderfully,” states Ciccotti.

Compliments from ONS:
“I just wanted to thank you again for your speedy and quality response to my graphic problem at ONS.”

HID 40x60 Exhibitree

The 2007 ISC West Show took Las Vegas by storm with 11 booths and a 31 man labor call for 5 days of installation. Taking place at the Sands Convention Center on March 28th-30th, this years show attendance was up by an estimated 10% and was declared one of the top 50 fastest growing Trade Shows by Tradeshow Week Magazine. This year’s show was a success for the Sho-Link Las Vegas office, with minimal set backs and happy clients.

During the installation of the Tellular booth the clients realized that some graphics were missing. Sho-Link jumped to the task of locating the missing graphics and trying to resolve the problem; new graphics were produced by Freeman and Sho-Link had them installed before it opened on the 2nd day. We were also able to get authorization to bring a 12’ ladder onto the show floor before show open on the 2nd day so that a photographer could take pictures of the HID exhibit.

“Ron Cunningham did a great job done on the HID booths, and Richard Poling Jr. was wonderful in assuring the client at Tellular that the lost graphics would be replaced and installed. These two are truly assets to the Sho-Link team”, comments Larry Ciccotti, Sho-Link Regional Operations Manager.

This show proved to be successful for our clients as well. Both HID sets went well for Exhibit Enterprises, and Southwest Displays & Events was able to pick two new clients with their Digital Horizon and Samsung booths.

ClearCom 30x40 ICON Exhibits

The NAB Show took place this year in Las Vegas, April 16-19, 2007 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While Sho-Link handled 10 less jobs than last years show, we still installed 14 booths and had a labor call on the show floor of 31 men. This year’s NAB Show attendance was up by over 31,000 attendees from over 141 different countries, making the show quite a success for Sho-Link and our clients alike.

Of the 14 booths, Sho-Link’s Jesse Reyna was involved with many; he participated in some pre-show planning with Debbie Parrott of ICON Exhibits regarding the 30x40 ClearCom booth. The booth was taken to the Sho-Link shop to be refurbished and then shipping, electrical and labor was reviewed in order to ensure efficiency during the installation and dismantle.

Sho-Link also ran into some small set backs during the installation of Tempest by ClearCom, a 20x20 set also from ICON Exhibits; some essential parts were missing for the booth, but Derse Las Vegas came to the rescue and Sho-Link was able to rent the necessary parts and guarantee a great show for the client.

Las Vegas Assistant City Manager, Bill Redman, would like to compliment Jesse Reyna, Ron Cunningham and Kevin Robertson for their ability to handle multiple booths and association challenges. He also stated, “This year’s show went very smooth. we had a long installation window so the clients weren’t rushed, and we had great crews. Everyone was happy with the final outcome.”
