At last December’s Exhibit Designers and Producers Association Annual Convention in St. Petersburg, FL, Derse Exhibits won the two top awards in the EDDIE competition. EDPA established the EDDIE Awards to recognize outstanding achievement in Marketing. The awards promote a higher standard of excellence for marketing in the exhibit industry as the only award for accomplishment in self-promotion. EDDIE’s are awarded for successful marketing – specifically for initiatives that demonstrate smart strategy, creativity, and a measurable return on investment.

Derse Exhibits took first place in both categories – Single Media and Multiple Media. Single Media entries include an individual initiative such as an ad, direct mailing, promotion, website, CD Rom, or trade show exhibit. Multiple Media entries are comprised of a group of initiatives combined to form a campaign or program.

Derse’s Single Media winner was the Exhibit Success Deck. The three suits of the deck – Stimulate, Nourish, Grow – were packed with creative ideas to help exhibit managers enhance their own exhibit programs. The Multiple Media winner was Derse’s experiential marketing program for the 2004 Healthcare Exhibitors Association show. The entry consisted of pre-show mailer, custom exhibit, in-booth activity, client take-away, client event, and post-show follow-up. All wrapped around the theme – Stimulate, Nourish, and Grow.

Derse won previous EDDIE Awards including second place in 2002 and first place in 2003, both for their Multiple Media entries.
