Sho-Link’s Annual Manager’s Meeting took place July 27-29, 2005, in New Orleans.

     The Sho-Link participants covered such topics regarding Sho-Link’s new member, estimating, safety, special events, national operations and warehousing.

     The City Managers enjoyed a roundtable discussion addressing key issues and brainstorming new solutions, as well as sharing proven work methods.

     Plaques were awarded to Sho-Link employees reaching their 10 year and 5 year anniversaries. Additionally, Miami City Manager, Steve Bierbryer, received the Customer Service award for managing the city receiving the most complimentary letters throughout 2004.

     Vice President Ken Broadbent represented Sho-Link this year at TS2 2005, July 12-14, in Washington, D.C.

     Broadbent was asked to participate in one of the open panel discussions, “Developing ‘Best Practices’ for EAC-GGSC Relations.” The panel included Joe Mondelli (MC2), Steve Hagstette (Freeman Decorating), Tim McGill (Hardgrove GC), and panel moderator Steve Schwartz (Washington Convention Cernter).

     Discussions included thoughts on early move-ins for EACs, show floor working rules, and working relationships between EAC”s and General Contractors. The workshop was attended by thirty independent contractors and four general contractors.

     Please join us in congratulating Regina McKillips on her recent promotion to Office Manager. Previous Officer Manager, Jennifer Pait, has left the company to start a family, and we thank her for her years of service with Sho-Link.

     Amy Bailey continues with Sho-Link as Accountant, Jean Keefe as Administrative & Accounting Assistant, Theresa Peiffer as Billing & Payroll Coordinator, Deborah Markham as Order Processor and Customer Service Representative, Sharon Warnock as Affiliate & Travel Coordinator, and Lauren Wozniak as Receptionist.
