We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their concern about the Sho-Link employees that were affected by Hurricane Katrina and to update you on the struggles these individuals are enduring. First and foremost, we have been in contact with Bill Redman, New Orleans City Manager. Bill has been able to talk to all of the lead personnel, and we are happy to report that all have been spared physical harm. However, in varying degrees, all are faced with major loss of property and loss of income in the near future. Sho-Link is trying to take steps to find employment in other cities for the personnel that are able to relocate. The overwhelming loss has many in a situation that, due to the financial burden, simply do not have the means to move on. Six of our ten employee’s homes were flooded to the rafters, and they have lost everything that they own. Many of you have asked how you can help. Sho-Link has begun a fund drive to help alleviate some of the burden and we are asking that anyone who would like to contribute to this cause to please contact Ken Broadbent (kbroadbent@sho-link.com) or Scott Rudel (srudel@sho-link.com) to make any donations. These individuals are part of the Sho-Link family, and any help you provide will be truly appreciated.
We are certain that all participants in the Sho-Link affiliate network echo the thoughts of Willwork, Inc.:
