At Sho‑Link, we know that the best leaders are the ones who understand the work from the ground up. The show floor is where teamwork, communication, and accountability are tested every day, and it is also where we find the people who are ready to grow. That belief is what shaped our Rising Star program. The goal of this program is to give participants a real understanding of who Sho‑Link is and to create a sense of achievement as they continue to raise the level of service we are committed to delivering for our members. It has become one of the most meaningful ways we develop strong, reliable leaders who elevate every crew they join.


1. Finding Talent in Real Time

The show floor is an honest evaluator. You can see who steps up when timelines shift, who communicates clearly under pressure, and who naturally brings people together. These are the qualities our supervisors look for when nominating Rising Star candidates. It is not about how long someone has been with us. It is about potential, attitude, and consistency.


Some of our most successful Rising Stars were people who quietly delivered great work day after day. They asked questions, volunteered for new tasks, and showed they cared about the bigger picture. When someone demonstrates that kind of drive, we want to support it. The program gives them a chance to grow while staying connected to the work that first sparked their interest.


2. Developing Leaders Through Experience and Support

Once selected, Rising Stars enter a development track that blends hands‑on learning with practical leadership training. The goal is to help them build confidence and understand what it means to guide a crew the Sho‑Link way.

Participants learn communication skills, problem solving, and how to manage the flow of work during busy show cycles. They shadow experienced leads, take on small leadership responsibilities, and receive coaching during live events. This approach allows them to grow naturally. They are not pulled away from the environment they know. Instead, they learn to lead within it.


The program also reinforces our company values. Rising Stars gain a deeper understanding of who Sho‑Link is, what we stand for, and why our commitment to service matters. As they develop, they begin to see how their individual growth contributes to the success of the entire organization.


3. Strengthening Crews Through Leadership from Within

Promoting from within creates stronger teams. Crews respond differently to leaders who have done the work themselves. There is a level of trust that comes from shared experience. Rising Stars know what it feels like to be on a tight deadline or to troubleshoot a last‑minute change. That understanding helps them lead with clarity and respect.


Clients notice the difference too. A well‑led crew is more organized, more efficient, and more adaptable. When a Rising Star steps into a leadership role, they bring a sense of ownership that elevates the entire team. They care deeply about the outcome because they have grown with Sho‑Link and understand the expectations behind every project.
