SHO-LINK INCORPORATED CHARLES “CHAS” LAVERTY NAMED ATLANTA CITY MANAGER AS SHO-LINK EXPANDS INTO THE CAROLINAS

Lake Forest, IL (October 2026) Sho-Link Incorporated is pleased to announce the promotion of Charles “Chas” Laverty to Atlanta City Manager. Laverty, who has served as Atlanta Assistant City Manager since April 2025, will oversee Sho-Link’s Atlanta operations and help support the company’s expanding coverage in the Carolinas.
Laverty joined Sho-Link in August 2019 and later relocated from Chicago to Atlanta, returning to the city where his career began. As City Manager, he will focus on providing his crews with the tools, guidance, and support they need while applying the best practices he has gained from working in cities across the country.
Laverty began his trade show career in Atlanta after a friend connected him with the city manager at the time. When asked if he could be ready to leave at 5:30 the next morning, he accepted despite having no industry experience. Laverty advanced from laborer to supervising projects ranging from small booths to double-decker exhibits and 100-by-100-foot installations. He later became a traveling supervisor, gaining experience in markets across the country.
“It has been exciting to watch Chas grow within the Sho-Link family from assistant city manager to city manager,” said Rob West, Vice President of Operations at Sho-Link. “He brings a fresh perspective to the Atlanta team that our members and their clients can count on. We are excited to see him lead.”
In conjunction with Laverty’s promotion, Sho-Link is expanding its Southeast coverage to five additional cities:
• Charleston, SC
• Charlotte, NC
• Greensboro, NC
• Myrtle Beach, SC
• Raleigh, NC
In his new role, Laverty will support Sho-Link’s expansion into the Carolinas by helping extend the company’s established service standards across the five new markets.
“Each city we add gives more of our members access to the consistent service they expect from Sho-Link,” said Casey Burchak, Regional Manager. “Chas understands how to build strong crews, and that experience will help us maintain those standards as we expand throughout the Carolinas.”
“Starting my career in Atlanta and returning to lead the city feels like coming home,” said Laverty. “I want to do right by the people who work for me. When my crews know I will do everything I can to support them, they perform at their best and provide better service for our clients.”
